Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) – BSN to DNP AGACNP

DNP Curriculum

DNP Clinicals
Students complete 1,260 total supervised clinical and practicum hours across the program. Clinical placements occur within Florida and are arranged in appropriate healthcare settings focused on high-acuity inpatient environments. Students may be required to travel periodically for structured clinical learning experiences throughout the state.
Clinical Requirements:
- 1,260 total clinical and practicum hours
- 540 hours across three AGACNP clinical courses (180 hours each)
- 240 hours DNP practicum in final semester
- 480 hours distributed across residency and project experiences
- All placements within Florida (travel may be required)
- Focus on ICU, emergency department, and high-acuity settings
- Supervised and precepted experiences in specialized settings
DNP Admissions Requirements
Academic Requirements:
- BSN degree from ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE accredited school
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA on 4.0 scale
- Current unencumbered Florida or multi-state RN license (or eligibility for licensure)
- No GRE required
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum one year critical care experience (ICU/Emergency Department) required for AGACNP track
- Demonstrated ability in clinical excellence and leadership
Citizenship/Visa Requirements:
- U.S. citizen, legal U.S. resident, or valid visa holder
- Program does not qualify for F-1 or J-1 student sponsorship
- Legal Permanent Residents and non-immigrants in appropriate status may pursue program
